To be ecosystem

Today began our own ecosystem as artists, scholars and students gathering their thoughts around one main theme for a week. From this first day, one thing is to remember: meeting.

We could meet different profiles from different countries and professions in the context of conferences and see how they were thinking this notion of "ecosystem" and what place it can take in their work. It appears at first by simply wandering through the mass while going to take a coffee and then go outside to savour it. This short walk will make you travel through a mosaic of languages that are just coexisting in that same building, even in a same talk.

From keynote speaker's intervention to parallel sessions, going through performative lectures, we could experiment a variety of meetings. Yet a same thing stays through the panels: this process of relationship based on mutual listening and honed by curiosity. It is not only an audience listening to a speaker, but an interaction created from one's thinking and the thoughts that awakes in return. Such an experience promises riches interactions and a fertile plot to farm our own reflections, to echo our first keynote speaker's intervention, Maria Shevtsova saying "Something always grows in the theater". I am eager to see what can grow from all the seeds I met and will meet this week.
